To create a safe and calm environment the staff seek to build positive relationships with all children/ young people residing with us. Relationships should be based on mutual respect and trust. This is established by the staff being consistent and child centred. House rules and boundaries are made clear to all children/young people. They are reinforced by a system of rewards and sanctions, which seeks to encourage reasonable behaviour.
