Residential Support Worker
Job Description 

We have a great opportunity for someone who is interested in a new challenge.  We are looking for a residential support worker for our 4 and 5 bedded childrens homes in the Worthing area and 6 bedded home in the Lancing area.  The home caters for children aged 8 to 18 with EBD.

 

Experience is not essential as we offer an excellent induction training package which includes the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care on completion of your probationary period.

  

We are looking for someone who:

 

  • Is able to use their own initiative and think outside the box

  • Has the ability to cope with and remain calm in challenging and demanding situations

  • Is able to provide nurturing parenting to the children in your care

  • Has integrity and good character

  

Your main responsibilities will be:

 

  • Assisting in the day to day running of the home

  • To provide care in line with Childrens Homes Regulations including Quality Standards

  • To develop and maintain key relationships with children, staff, families and professionals

  • Report writing

  • To provide a child centred approach that includes equality, rights, inclusion and listening to the childrens wishes and feelings

  • To provide the children with a nurturing parental presence

  • To advocate for each child

Bank Staff

Job Description

Basic Salary: £9.75 hourly rate, salary increased following successful completion of probation period

Hours: Bank 

We are looking for someone with a minimum of one years experience of working within the care sector who is able to use their own initiative and think outside the box. To build positive relationships with the young people you care for and have the ability to deal with demanding situations if they arise.

We offer on-going training and ensure our staff are given the opportunity to develop and progress within the company. 

  • Overtime paid at time and a half (hours worked over 40 hrs)

  • Sleep ins are paid additional to salary at £50

  • Bank holidays are paid at an enhanced rate

  • Accrued annual leave

Senior Residential Support Worker

We have a great opportunity for someone who is interested in a new challenge.  We are looking for Senior Residential Support Workers for our 4 and 5 bedded childrens homes in the Worthing area and 6 bedded home in the Lancing area 

 

We are looking for someone who can support the registered manager in the running of the home and developing a team in the delivery of high-quality care that puts children first. 

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisation and interpersonal skills and has the ability to cope with and remain calm in challenging and demanding situations. 

We are looking for someone who:

 

  • Has an understanding of Ofsted and the Quality Standards

  • Has a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care, or equivalent

  • Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a role within a childrens residential setting

  • Is able to use their own initiative and think outside the box

  • Is able to provide nurturing parenting to the children in your care

  • Has integrity and good character

  • Leading and planning shifts

  • To provide care in line with Childrens Homes Regulations including Quality Standards

  • To develop and maintain key relationships with children, staff, families and professionals

  • Report writing

  • To provide a child centred approach that includes equality, rights, inclusion and listening to the childrens wishes and feelings

  • To assist in developing and maintaining a positive working environment which nurtures and rewards good practice

  • To provide the children with a nurturing parental presence

  • To advocate for each child

  • To provide residential support staff with supervisions

  • To provide on call on a pro rata basis

  • A rolling rota pattern, including every other weekend.  Our rota pattern ensures consistency for the children and staff team.

  • Bank holidays paid at an enhanced rate

  • Sleep in's paid at an enhanced rate of £50

  • On calls paid at an enhanced rate of £25 weekdays and £50 weekends

  • 28 days annual leave entitlement
